PostMy Grandma at 101

We missed her birthday party but it looks like she had a good time.

When it's springtime in the Rockies
I'll be coming back to you
Little sweetheart of the mountains
With your bonnie eyes of blue;
Once again I'll say I love you
While the birds sing all the day
When it's springtime in the Rockies
In the Rockies far away.

The twilight shadows deepen into night dear
The city lights are gleaming o'er the snow
I sit alone beside the cheery fireside
I'm dreaming dreams from out the long ago
I fancy it is springtime in the Rockies
The flowers with their colors are aflame
And though I long to be back in the Rockies
I'll wait until the springtime comes again.

It's so hard to look and listen to her and realize she is 101.  Who would believe it?
A very beautiful, graceful lady.  She is truly amazing.
I just showed the video to Mr. S and asked him to guess her age.
His answer "80-85". When he heard 101, he said "your kidding, WOW!"

She is beautiful, TM.....one thing you should do is either have her record the stories of her life and the family or write it down yourself and ask her for details, etc....I sooooo wish I'd done that very thing with my Mom and Dad.......think about it

I'm so sorry TM.  I know how much you will miss her.  The good thing is those memories that you have together can never be taken away from you.  You will always have them with you.  I know how hard this is for you right now, but God will see you through this.

Thanks all, she was 103.5 and was very spry for the first 100 at least. She had seen the passing of 3 of her 4 children though and I know she was ready to go.

I should have seen her so much more than I did.

Lindy's right.  Don't beat yourself up because you will always have those doubts.  Just believe you did the best could and that she loved you.  You will always have those happy memories that ho one can ever take away from you.
